Original legacy MCX has a lighter barrel profile and is most often setup with short barrels as our home defense weapon. This legacy gun shoots long targets good too though. My 16" Virtus Patrol has been totally reliable, isn't SBRed and runs with 16" 5.56 or 300Blk barrel kits.

"+" is more gas for shooting unsuppressed since more gas is needed to cycle the bolt. Push "down" on "-" side for suppressed shooting. Push "down" on "+" side for unsuppressed shooting.

Hence, any of the longer MCX Virtus barrels can be mounted without a change of the op rod. Therefore, the Canebrake is more versatile and more modular than the Rattler.
