Carpet moths eat bare patches out of carpets (often in corners or under furniture, even if that furniture is sat full flat on the floor) and leave white/beige husks behind, often on the wall above the patches. Do a google search or even a search on here absolute nightmare to get rid of. Some have had them for years and actually seem quite grateful when they only find a few each year. 2011年5月20日 · We have small golden coloured moths, which disintegrate into powder if you catch them. Just odd ones, maybe see one or two each day at most. No sign of them causing any damage ( no holey clothes, etc.), but don't know where they've come from, or whether I just haven't spotted the damage yet.

2022年5月5日 · We bought this house in February and the problem has got worse but that coincides with the time of year for all the pupae to mature into moths. I honestly have sprayed everywhere. I suspect they are laying eggs between the floorboards and under the skirting -old house must be enough dust down there to last them a lifetime.

2009年11月5日 · I had a major infestation of carpet moths when I moved into this house. The place had be a mortgage repossession and empty for some months. Some of the furniture, chest of drawers, beds etc were left here and the moths were living in their thousands, inside the drawers and the once lovely 'House of Fraser' carpet was full of holes.
