This is huge for up-keeping your motivation. Classes are a lot more diverse and accessible for all levels, and more personalizable. They removed any upfront cost.

I decided on tonal as you get more weight range in a smaller space and the ability to do eccentric training which is only available on tonal. The small footprint is a big plus as well. Tempo is just some free weight that require time to switch out with a screen.

2021年1月25日 · I think you mean Tempo for the free weights. I like the fact that Tempo is "portable" vs. Mounted on the wall. Both have a long wait to delivery, hope to have mine in 3 more weeks. I compared several with pros and cons, ending with Tempo on top. But I have used resistance systems before and liked them.

Why did you choose the Tonal over say, Tempo or Mirror?
2020年7月29日 · Tempo is free weights (dumbells and barbell) and tonal is a cable machine + bench. I'm also a little mad right now because the tempo membership is 39 or something per month but there are no live workouts right now due to COVID yet they're still charging that price.

I found the tonal a little harder to use (adjusting the arms were a pain) and wasn’t interested in live classes. Plus the resale value of the tonal was a concern for me as is the installation. I’m watching the resale market near me and prices continue to drop. A used tonal is going for $2000 and has steadily dropped over time.

For example, I placed my Speediance in front of a large window overlooking my back yard. Not possible with the Tonal. I don't believe in the Tonal subscription model. I don't understand what value the subscription drives.

2024年4月26日 · Moving Tonal one time isn’t a huge deal, but moving it every year would be a hassle (and you would have to ensure all the places you live have enough room for it). If you are willing to pay for it, Tonal is undoubtedly better than Speediance, but if cost is a long term issue for you, it may not be the best solution.

I just didn't want anything mounted on my wall (Tonal gets mounted while Tempo is free standing) + I like to use dumbbells and barbells with my strength training - so I figured I just keep it going with the real weights as opposed to getting Tonal's digital weights.
