Photos OK to edit. Dec 22, 2011. #9. That looks like a pretty standard (albeit very nice) folding field camera from the later 19th or early 20th century. I don't believe that it is home-made. The lens looks more modern. It's a large-format camera for sure, but without a sense of scale, I can only guess at 5x7.

From a sellers point of view, you will typically get a bit less but you sell the equipment faster and with less hassle. As for the researching on the internet, there's not one location for all vintage cameras.

Some of their box cameras had a little brassy rectangle with the brand name on it right below the taking lens. Also, some had identification on the leather handle, which seems to be missing from yours.

wierd film system, vintage camera, how do I rewind this Alfa 2?
2012年12月28日 · I've recently acquired a mid 60's camera from Poland called an Alfa-2. Generally, it's one of these: Aparat. I've already shot a roll of HP5 on it, so I can't post a photo of the innards at the moment, seeing as how I've got a rewind problem, lol. It's a strange 35mm film system. It's roll to roll, so on one end I popped in the HP5.
