A red dot going south, especially with a gun with BUIS, is not going to immobilize the gun. As you state, it might impose a slight time delay on the shooter to compensate.

Watching the Glock 18 video, what I find most interesting is how much the frame flexes around the muzzle area with each shot. I highly recommend the Buckshot and AK-47 slow mo video as well, if you haven't been to his site before.

I'm posting these pics for educational purposes given the confusion over what DLC internals look like, what a real FBI gun is, etc. As you'll see, the DLC internals are jet black and have a different number than the non-DLC ones.
