Oct 28, 2012 · So I think it comes down to Continental PureContact LS vs Yokohama AVID Ascend GT vs Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack. The Continental's are probably a safe bet. But if others have experience with the Yokohama in comparison to the Michelin's i'm currently using and these Continental PureContact LS I'd love to hear.

They do make more noise than the stock Michelins, and they are not LRR tires, so I guestimate a loss of around 20-30 Wh from that alone. The Continentals are 21.6 lbs per tire whereas the Yokohama's being 26lbs each. While I think the Yokohama's had an excellent plush ride and a nice look to it, I discourage anyone from getting it for an EV.

Nov 30, 2017 · Yokohama AVID Ascend GT have a 65k mile rating and have really good dry and wet weather performance. I have them installed on my previous car, and I'll install them on my 3 when the stockers need replacing.
