2020年9月22日 · In my opinion that's a big downgrade, the screen is smaller, less bright, no 120 Hz Display anymore and the A12X in the 2018 iPad Pro is also faster than the A14 (neural engine of A14 might be a bit faster, but graphics and multi core of A12X is a lot higher). The speakers in the 2018 Pro should be also better.

2022年7月5日 · Bezels are just the right size on this model, and it does not slip. I also prefer the home button. It has 128 GB of storage that is already half taken (but I game on it). Finally, iPad 9th gen has a headphone jack and (I think) the wired headphones in the box, so no additional pricey AirPods would be needed.

2021年10月10日 · CPU difference between A13 and A14 is just 20-30%. Extra RAM is kinda nice but honestly, if that's what I'm after, I'd just go up to the Pro with 8GB. Gets you 128GB storage, too. For $170 difference between 9th gen and Air, it just costs a little more to upgrade again in a few years when the 9th gen stops being enough.

2023年5月15日 · Even the $329 base 9th generation iPad currently being sold should support it. The best compromise between price and performance of the current iPad lineup is probably the M1 iPad Air. It gives you most of the iPad Pro's features for less money. A used iPad Pro with an A12X, A12Z, or M1 should all work, as would a used iPad Air with an A14 chip.
