I would try making that much larger to see if you have the same issue. This has fixed a timeout issue for myself before. You can also edit this setting directly in the soapui-settings.xml.

Add the line -Dfile.encoding=UTF8 (Note without "") before the line -splash:SoapUI-Spashscreen.png. Do that and it will work as described in this answer. –
