.22 BR Remington - Wikipedia
The .22 Bench Rest Remington cartridge, commonly referred to as the .22 BR Remington, is a wildcat cartridge commonly used in varmint hunting and benchrest shooting. It is based on the .308×1.5-inch Barnes cartridge, necked down to .22 caliber, lengthened by .020 inches and with the shoulder angle increased to 30°.

Mar 18, 2021 · If we were to build a new long-range, bolt-action varmint rifle it would probably be a 22 BRA, essentially a 22 BR with 40° shoulder. That gives you a very stable cartridge with a bit more capacity. The 22 BRA retains a longer neck compare to the 22 Dasher, which is also an excellent cartridge — versatile and accurate.

Jul 31, 2019 · I am running a 26" 1-7" Bartlein in 22BR for my Match rifle this year. 27.3 gr of H4895 gets me 3005 fps with sd of 4 and .258" -.587" groups at 400 yards. I am at 1100 rounds so far and the throat is showing a little growth.
