2004年4月25日 · Its nice to keep up with grade level since we want some kind of comparison with what other children our children's age are doing.. So do your level, spread it out and complete it. Also, in just 2 years, my pace with my oldest has picked up quite a bit.

2010年1月15日 · If I could go back, I would have kept dd home that year and started something like Abeka 1st or 2nd grade. I lost a lot of time and my dd lost her love of learning by being bored to tears. BTW, my dd taught herself to read at 3 and could read and write on a 3rd grade level and wasn't considered gifted b/c she wasn't 2 grades ahead in all areas.

2004年4月25日 · This is our first year of using Easy Grammar for dd11. I went with the 5th grade book even though she is in 6th. We like it well enough, but it has taken us forever to work through the book. We could easily draw it out into two years of grammar for us. We do lots of reading daily in several subjects in addition to McGuffey Readers.

2008年8月18日 · We had all five subjects for 1st grade. Although 1 book per month does not sound bad, it gets to be a bit overwhelming for 6 year olds to do 25 pages of sheet work a day (on average to finish in 9 months (Actually recommended in the lifepacs))).

2012年4月18日 · If they focus on their work (and don't dally), my 1st grader is done all of the above in 1-2 hours; my 3rd grader in about 3-4, and my 5th grader needs a solid 4 hours. The one thing I will say: I don't think there's very much useful in it until (approximately) 3rd grade level.
