Auryxia is also used to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults with chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis. Auryxia may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How AURYXIA Works | AURYXIA® (ferric citrate) | HP
AURYXIA is a prescription medicine that can lower the amount of phosphate in the blood for adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who ARE on dialysis. Who should not take AURYXIA? Do not take AURYXIA if you have been diagnosed with an iron overload syndrome, such as hemochromatosis. AURYXIA may not be right for you.

Auryxia is an iron replacement product indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease not on dialysis. (1) Adjust dose by 1 to 2 tablets as needed to maintain serum phosphorus at target levels, up to a maximum of 12 tablets daily. Dose can be titrated at 1-week or longer intervals. (2.1)
