The tables provide tolerance specifications according to the BS 4500(A) : 1969 BASIC HOLE SYSTEM standard. The document contains two tables that list tolerance limits for holes and shafts. The tolerance tables below are consistent with the American National Standard Tolerances (ANSI B4.1) and the British Standard for Metric ISO Limits and Fits (BS 4500).
