WEBMario Party Party 5 has the best story, even if it had somewhat reduced sound quality. It had the part where Dan tells everyone to get in the same pot, only to betray them and everyone gets burned but him. Also Dan doesn't win and instead the one everyone likes and was cheering for did. It was the pinnacle of the series series.

I didn't have the chance to play all of them, but I do have Super Mario Party on the switch, and I can say that I am very disappointed with it and how they brought back the classic board game style. I don't have high expectations for any new Mario Party game, I could still buy the older games that I have not played yet.

Great selection of boards, best minigames, the day/night cycle made the game feel more dynamic and it also had the best and most strategic item system. 7 is essentially a continuation of 6's systems in a lot of ways (minus the day/night cycle) so it gets the #2 spot. WEBJan 23, 2011 · Mario Party 4 was my first Mario Party so its my choice :) It's Mario Party 4. The Mario Party games just got progressively worse, 4 was OK, I remember having a great time playing it, but we rented 7 once, and it was just garbage. So is 8, by the way. Mario Party 1 is still the best in my book, magic lamp my ass.
