I have private health insurance and get my Dexcom prescription through Costco, which is a lot cheaper than the third party mail order services I’d been told were my only option in the past - but not to the order of magnitude of what you’re paying...

For the G7 I pay right around $220 for a month supply. So I save roughly $10 per month with the G7 versus the G6 when including the cost of the G6 transmitter. The G7's advantages to me are faster warmup (30 minutes vs 2 hours), all in one instead of a separate transmitter, and each sensor comes with an overpatch. The packaging is a lot smaller too, as is the applicator. But the G7 doesn't work with pumps or pods yet, and you can't restart a G7 sensor like you can a G6.
