Mouser vs Digi-Key : r/AskElectronics - Reddit
LCSC has been pretty good, they have started taking my business away from Mouser and Digikey. Shipping time isn't bad to California, thankfully. I typically get the parts in less than two weeks. If I needed it sooner I'd go for Mouser, but it depends on who has the lower price for my BOM, sometimes it's Digikey.

2023年9月19日 · placed an order at digikey& mouser both with ground shipping, and jlcpcb with FEDEx economy all on jan 9th. that evening mouser sent an email saying they wouldn't be able to ship the same day, so they upgraded to 2day shipping at no cost. Mouser arrived before digikey had even shipped.

2015年11月27日 · Their prices are a bit higher than Digikey and others, but they do free shipping for orders over AUD$45, regardless of where they need to ship it from. Amusingly I did buy some parts direct from TI recently, which arrived with obvious Digikey stock labels on them, shipped from "Texas Instruments, Thief River Falls".

Mouser pissed me off when they started playing shipping games (after several years of paying extra for USPS Priority mail they suddenly started sending those as FedEx ground) and has a ton of parts with wrong specs in their catalog (searching for say a 5v part doesn't work so well when they have the parts wrongly listed as 3.3v).

Digikey and Mouser are the largest and most reliable component dealers left. Their shipping charges are astronomical for small orders. But you get the actual components you ordered without fear of knockoffs or substitutions. And they actually still provide reliable customer support.

2020年11月20日 · Every time I've ordered from Mouser and paid for 2 day shipping, they've gotten it to me in 2 days. That includes them upgrading me to priority overnight for free on a couple of occasions. With Digi-Key half the time they don't even bother to tell me that my order is delayed, regardless of the shipping chosen.

Digikey is up in the Midwest IIRC, so if you're not located in the Southwest it might be the better option for you if speed and cheap shipping is a concern. They both have similar prices with slightly different product selections.

Digikey is very fast. It really depends on how much you're willing to pay for shipping. First class mail is the cheapest option for small packages and just takes a couple days to get there, but if you're willing to pay for fedex overnight, you can get it tomorrow.
