2022年11月15日 · Dookie was the first Green Day album I listened to, and it has been my least favorite since. Yes, I preferred ¡DOS! and FOAMF over it. Easily. The only songs on Dookie I liked were Basket Case and Welcome to Paradise. But now, more than a year later, I've finally realized it's actually really good!

2019年2月17日 · My biggest problem with Dookie, and why, again, I’ll fight anyone who says that Dookie is a better album than American Idiot, is that Dookie (and a lot of early Green Day) have just so many “4 chord progressions”. Now Green Day does a good job at it. But it’s a way of writing music that makes it very simple.

Songs like LMNB, 1981, Coma City, and Strange Days are obviously all reminiscent of classic Green Day. Strange Days gives off STRONG Basket Case vibes. Whereas songs like OEB, Dilemma, Father to a Son, Fancy Sauce, etc sound more like the stadium rock of American Idiot. A song like Goodnight Adeline has a little bit of both.

There’s less than zero chance they play both in full. That would be 29 songs with an album run time of about 1 hour 40 minutes. Not to mention the extending of songs live. Plus wanting to promote Saviors with a handful of songs. Then you have the handful of songs from other albums that are set list staples. There just won’t be enough time

2022年3月16日 · Basket Case is definitely not a beginner's song. The palm muting is moderately complex and the accents are mostly syncopated. It's the hardest song on dookie but it's doable. Just need to practice the palm muting and picking pattern.

There are 2 songs from father of all because this came out around the same time as the album and probably only really happened to promote the album. The lack of any dookie songs is weird, but none of the inclusions are odd to me.

I agree, those songs get played basically every time Granted plenty of American Idiot and Dookie songs are played everytime but it's not often they do either album in full, both of them being played in full is the entire premise of the current tour in the first place, Saviours songs should be played like you say, purely because it's kind of a tour for that as well
