Aug 5, 2021 · Hello, I'm a lifelong FF fan who recently started 'catching up' to the series after falling off the wagon since the XIII series. Wasn't really a fan of those games due to the linearity and wasn't big on the combat (although Lightning Returns was pretty good). For reference, my favorite entries in the series were always IV, VII, IX, and XII.

Nov 26, 2020 · If that was anything to go by, I reckon the PS5 must be lightyears ahead of the standard PS4. Haven't bought a PS5 yet and will wait for FFxvi or Remake part 2 before I do. If it can’t do high mode at 60fps, I’ll stick with my ps4 pro until FFXVI comes out. yup, looks like frame interpolation to me.

Jul 27, 2023 · With 15, they were copying what was trendy at the time: Monster Hunter, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto. Final Fantasy used to be the gold standard that set the bar for how RPGs should be made. Others copied FF, not the other way around. Now FF just feels like the result of soulless spreadsheeting to make the optimal best seller.

Mar 24, 2022 · The biggest difference between 7R and 15's combat is how easy it is to spam and cheese stuff. In 15 you can spam items to win literally any fight. There's no difficulty. In 7R the combat still maintains much of the tactical decision making of the original 7 due to the ATB gauge. That alone places it leagues above.

My favourite part of XV were the hunts, there’s a massive mountain you can climb to find an encounter with the black bird you briefly meet earlier in the game. Travelling the world to track monsters was when the game and world felt most alive, the designs alone are worth seeing.

Dec 21, 2022 · VII remake is far and away the better game in every aspect, aside from being the first part of a 3 game story. XV is a "complete" story, but a weak entry as final Fantasy goes, with a salvaged final product of a story and bare bones requirements for successful combat.

After reading the comments, must say that quite few people here are a little bit wrong about PS5 performance being identical to ps4 pro, in high mode PS5 gets up to 1800c resolution-wise instead of 1620c for pro, as well as FPS (the main issue for this game on PS systems) is slightly better on PS5.
