Best brands of used aluminum fishing boats - Boating Forum
2015年3月29日 · I would like to know what the forum members think are the best brands of used aluminum fishing boats. I am looking for a 16-7 foot boat with 25-90 hp outboard on it. Brands I have been interested in are Lund (just missed the only one I could probably ever be able to afford), Princecraft, Smokercraft, Starcraft, Misty River and Sea Nymph.

I won't name brands but just look at how the boats are made, are the rails and deck thru bolted or screwed on, obvously thru bolting gives you a better boat. Look at the brackets on the tubes, are they the "M" type that give the most solid boat and how much weld is on them, in general how the boat is put together.

Bass boats are made for fishing, and they share hulls with some good ski boats. However, they tend to be small for more than three folks at a time.

On flat water a flat bottom square chine Jon will be a bit less tipsy than a flat bottom rounded chine boat. My opinion on the top 3 brands in this category would be Lund, Alumacraft and G3 if looking new.

2015年4月24日 · That is the boat I think I really want. Got to stand inside two. Out of all the boats I was interested in and read about. I keep coming back to the C-Dory. It may mean I might have to wait a little longer but this boat meets all my needs. Cruising, Fishing, Crabbing, able to handle rough weather should it arise, island hopping. in the PNW.
