2016年12月28日 · Hardest i've ever worked with and turned is Ironwood, quite a few variations, and texas ebony can sure make a fella talk in tongues, but ironwood, tough as nails, and hard on steel edges. did some knife scales a while back, polished i'm up bootiful, but pretty sure a 12 pack was part of the equation, and not all at once.

The board with the 4 pieces the bottom left has just one coat of 100% tung oil then waited two week and top coated it with Rustoelum 2X clear semi-gloss or gloss , can't remember. The board next to it on the bottom is just the ash wood with nothing on it.

Treated the maple pieces with wax and linseed oil combination. However, I am having the hardest time getting the finish on the epoxy to be shiny and smooth.

I have to figure out later how to mount them Just take a picture of some leaves on the computer, print them out, enlarge some, reduce size on some, glue em on and get after it. Oh I did have to make some wood thinner for these and next it will be Dremels turn to shape the front and the back.. HOPEFULLY!
