Under "Color scheme for [site]," select the color scheme you want. To turn off the extension, click High Contrast Disable. You can also browse in Dark theme or Dark mode.

That is when I started to have dark mode issues that going into edge settings wouldn't resolve. I kept looking and stumbled onto the high contrast edge extension that was causing the problem.

All good - except YouTube videos were now all playing with a black box covering the lower half of the video whenever the mouse pointer is moved over it.

I have been using Internet Explorer then Edge for many years solely because they support this feature when rendering web pages. Today we noticed that when activating high contrast (using the new keystroke shortcut) that websites being viewed no longer display in the high contrast colors. The desktop does, and the tabs in the browser do. But the actual webpages do not. Has anyone else encountered this?
