I have a more expensive portable AC (it’s the dual hose type) I think it was around $600 from Home Depot a couple years ago. It’s a Toshiba RAC-PT1411HWRU 14000 BTU A/C heater. Overkill for your space but the Toshiba brand seems like good quality.

It is in perfect condition, and I have most of the original packing along with the manual (and receipt). But I noticed HomeDepot doesn't accept major appliances, and I am not sure if the portable ac unit qualifies as one (hopefully it doesn't).

2020年6月12日 · That info would have been on your receipt. I think ac units are 30 days. Does the unit have a upc barcode sticker on the unit itself? There ussually is one and if there is then you wouldn't need the box to return it. It's 90 days with a receipt. I know for a fact because I've returned two of them over the years.

2023年5月22日 · Just bought a whytner two weeks ago , relatively quiet , great cooling for 20x26 vaulted. Had a delonghi from Costco for 5 years . Whytner seems to be a better unit thus far . It was 498.00 or close from Home Depot .
Really allow return of portable AC units when summer ends?
2020年8月18日 · Central air busted, so bought two portable units 45 days ago, and was about to sell them for a big loss on CL, but I looked at the Home Depot receipt and it says "Return Policy Definitions - Policy ID 1 - Days 180 - Policy Expires on 01/06/2021." I still have the boxes, and they are in good shape, but obviously not packed like new.
How to install a portable AC with a casement window like this?
The best I've seen that doesn't look tacky is like what 4888 said, some acrylic/plexiglass and some double sided adhesive or velcro. I'm going with some corrugated plastic though (yard sign material) and cutting out my dimensions and popping the vent adapter into it and sealing it to my window. My building has some vintage casement windows.
