It’s really kind of a letdown, because actual illithid look very sinister, meanwhile their dragon variant looks like it’s going to go “NOOT-NOOT” any second.

I guess dragons are too powerful to be affected :) Looks terrible on the rest of the companions though. I am a black dragonborn and I really don't see any changes except when using the Alter Self spell.
