So unless AMD releases a high-clocked 64C Threadripper this Xeon will continue being king on workloads that can take advantage of 512bit vectors (iii) AM4 is scheduled for Q3 or Q4. There is no schedule for TR4.

2003年1月2日 · This is a weak argument at best on Intel's part, as the E5-1600 series have been unlocked for years with no detriment or harm to the Xeon line. Additionally, server boards, especially OEM boards, lack any kind of tweaking ability whatsoever.

2012年4月4日 · I picked up an HP z840 about three years ago. Bare bones dual cpu system and added the Xeons and ram I wanted - 2p 40c/80t total. Crunches DC regularly. More recently I picked up an HP z6 with a xeon silver and swapped a gold xeon 20c/40t into it. It can be upgraded with an additional cpu daughter card, if I want. Also crunching away.
