网页2006年7月17日 · Here in upper East TN we had lots of these ore drifts, but they've been pretty well mined out since the late 1800s. We also had veins of hard red hematite, but this needs weathering to concentrate the iron into easily home-smeltable levels, as it's naturally only about 30% iron.
