PS4 pro is upgradeable for much cheaper than buying a PS5. I bought one used recently for about $150, then upgraded to a 1 TB ( about $85 USD) SSD. Didn't really need the extras space, but I DID need an extra USB port.

If you didn’t have a standard PS4, and you had a 4K TV between late 2016 and late 2020, it may have been worth it to buy a PS4 Pro. Personally, it wasn’t worth it to me. I purchased my standard PS4 on Black Friday 2015 for $279. I had a 1080p TV. I upgraded to a 4K TV in mid-2019. The standard PS4 could output 1080p HDR. Games looked good.

2022年1月16日 · It's worth it if you don't have a regular PS4, and if you want to play PS4 games. There are great games going back years now. At this price it makes a somewhat expensive media center but you're never gonna find a Blu-ray player with app support this good.

I got a PS4 pro about 3 or 4 years ago, and it was worth it then. It doesn't overheat as bad or as quickly as a base PS4 does, and I mostly upgraded to a pro because the hard drive was also twice as big. It does look slightly better graphically, but it's not a huge difference in comparison to a base PS4 imo.

2021年12月17日 · Honestly, depends on your TV. I personally believe it is worth it. PS4 pro can be more quiet, more stable or higher frame rates and higher resolutions. PS5 is simply not readily available and is still £200 above retail price and will likely stay that way until 1-2 years later unless you keep refreshing websites.

Sure PS4 won't get new games soon enough, but let's be honest this gen doesn't have that many killer apps right now anyway. Also the PS4 install base is still very large, in fact outnumbers PS5 userbase by a pretty hefty margin. In most use cases, and this is coming from a PC gamer, the PS4 is still a solid option.
