Has anyone modified the NBA Jam cabinet? : r/Arcade1Up - Reddit
2022年9月1日 · I want a 4-player Arcade cabinet but I want more than one or two games on it. So I'm thinking of buying the NBA Jam cabinet (Shaq Edition) and then modding it to add other games such as Ninja Turtles, X-Men and Street Fighter. I assume this would be cheaper and easier than building a Mame cabinet from scratch.

Shaq was a huge fan of NBA jam, he would pay someone to haul the Arcade cabinet around during road games. There's a new NBA Jam book that came out a few months ago. I haven't read it yet but it got a lot of good reviews and the author interviewed Shaq.

The arcade NBA JAM was special. The SNES version was a bastardized attempt but it was the best we had at the time. You had to be there to understand the video game landscape was not what it is today. NBA JAM was amazing at the time. Unlocking the special characters was unheard of at the time.

Arcade is probably the best, followed by SNES. Arcade version has bigger and more detailed sprites compared to the consoles. Also plays a bit smoother. There was also a remake on PS3 (one of the PSN downloadable titles) which was really good but not technically retro.

2020年8月3日 · Tank Game on O.G. Jam does work (I've played it). I've beat all 27 teams on T.E. you unlock expanded rosters for all teams and the Jam All Stars. The only bugs I've seen with them is sometimes you'll start a game against a secret character on the tonight's matchup screen but it'll default to a normal player on that team.

2020年6月11日 · It would be interesting if they actually put Gary Payton in NBA Jam! That would probably be something people would actually like changed. For the Dallas Mavericks they will probably have to use Jim Jackson, I'm not sure anyone else on the 92-93 roster was ever in the later arcade games. Milwaukee will probably use Murdock or Mayberry.

Rosters are based on the Arcade1up version (Revision 4 minus 6 players for rights issues). Players in italics are unlocked after beating all 27 NBA teams.
