Is the PSG1 worth the effort to find or clone? - Sniper's Hide
Nov 3, 2010 · PSG-1 and MSG-90 clones can range across the board. Murray Urbach's clones are about as close to the real thing as you can get (for the MSG-90, it IS as close as you will get). I believe it is Tracey Precision that has Urbach PSG and MSG clones for sale on Gunbroker for something like $6k and $8k respectively.
New to me, HK PSG1. Very detailed overview inside.
May 1, 2020 · The PSG-1 is mechanically based on the G3 rifle but features a low-noise bolt closing device (similar to the forward assist on the M16A1/A2/A3/A4) to allow the shooter to remain silent until a shot is fired. I tried to use it - its not THAT silent, but much quieter than using a tradition HK-slap, or just letting the bolt fly.
Anyone here own or have time behind a HK PSG1? Or a MR762A1?
Jun 24, 2020 · From my extensive testing, best 3-shot group is 0.35 MOA from a bench, 5-round groups at 0.67 MOA, 10-round groups at 0.994 MOA at 100 yards from the prone, and averaged at 0.75 MOA in most conditions. This is on par with what the PSG-1 could do per the average of their test target data I've collected over the years.

Once you get onto HKPRO.com, there is a fella "JFK" that has built his own parts for PSG-1 clones. He has/had a thread on the step by step process of his precision MSG style build.
