Should I get a PS5 slim or regular edition? : r/playstation - Reddit
Nov 19, 2023 · I've heard largely similar things regarding both versions of the console, but I'm still on the fence about it. On one hand, the slim model has significantly more storage (1 TB vs 825 GB) but the design's a bit weird and the vertical stand costs like $30 extra. The regular version looks better imo but doesn't have as much storage.

Oct 10, 2023 · This is the title of the video "PlayStation 5 - Same Immersive Power. New Slimmer Size" OP just didn't put the actual title. It's a 9:10 scale model. The funny thing is the depth is what they shaved the most off of the 3 dimensions and you can't really see the depth in the pics.

Nov 12, 2023 · Yeah the OG PS5 disc drive is noisy as well. Pretty much zero sound insulation and probably really cheap components. At least it's only on during disc check and installation I guess. You might be able to DIY some sound insulation with the disc drive being detachable if you can be bothered. Reply reply More replies.

The question was: If the plastic feet (cuz that isn't a "stand") for the horizontal are that long and the disc drive is giving it stability, how would those same plastic feet work for the digital edition without putting the PS5 at an angle?

Jul 14, 2022 · Yes. The reason Sony makes slim versions of their consoles is because the slim versions are cheaper to make and use less materials. This means they get more profits or get to lower prices so more people can get a console. It's good for their business. As for the PS5 Pro, I'm not sure what they will do.

Dec 1, 2023 · The amount of times this has been posted on this sub is incredible. It's fine and I wouldn't consider that loud at all. Don't worry about it. The PS5 slim is 19 blades for the fan as for the fan running that rpm it’s because you have it enclosed in a cabinet. Put it on a desk and at least 4 inches from a wall.
