Co-op Cycles, 1.1 or 3.1 - Bike Forums
I really like the shorter tube top of the 3.1 and taller stack, but those handlebars look like they would add tons to the reach. Wish it came with the same bars as the 1.1 has. Possibly I might get some Salsa Cowchipper or Cowbell bars for it. Anyhoo. Can't wait till the Anniversary Sale next month. Hope the Co-op bikes are 20% for REI members!

Opinions on the new Co-op (REI) ADV 1.1? This week I noticed that REI has brought back the ADV 1.1, with a new list price of $1699. I haven't followed the market closely through the pandemic, but my wife is in the market for a touring bike and we are looking at this one, along with the Surly Disc Trucker and a couple of others.

It will be interesting to see if they continue to sell Cannondale, Surly, etc. for more than a year or so. Interesting for a couple reasons: first, if you look at an REI store, it looks like 2/3 or so of the bikes they carry (and presumably sell) are non-REI brands, whether you call the Co-op or Novara.

I saw this blurb on the "Co-op Cycles ARD 1.2 Bike - 2017": "A front thru-axle adds extra control to every trip" Because quick release axles don't provide enough control. Damn wheels keep falling out.
