Because these types of pads are dense, you must prepare them by tearing, pulling and reducing the thickness by tearing them in half carefully along their horizontal axis. Here is an example of the Scotch Brite in action on Revell’s 1/32 Ju-88.

I've seen this method described with a scotch Brite pad, but I didn't have one so tried the steel wool. I then lightened it up a second time a sprayed a couple patches very sparingly.

Short comparison: 1/16 Sdkfz, 251 Das Werk vs Trumpy
2023年9月3日 · Tracks. Das Werk is grey, Trumpy is brown. There is a noticeable size difference. I looked it up, the 251 tracks are supposed to be 280mm wide, and the pads are around 160mm wide, which, in 1/16 scale, works out to be 17.5mm and 10mm respectively. Das Werks are 18.5mm wide tracks and 12.3mm pads, while Trumpy has 16.7mm tracks and 8mm pads.
