Is the Steyr SSG-69 PII a good all around rifle? - Sniper's Hide
2020年12月23日 · I think Steyr Mannlicher (now Steyr) is a company that lives in the past. Agreed. If they had invested in upgrading SSG 69, they would have been able to capitalize on this legendary rifle into the 21st century. Instead, they chose to develop a new line (SSG 04 then SSG 08) at ridiculous price points.

2013年12月19日 · The SSG69 has an extremely short locktime and on off hand shoting I usually scored 5 - 10% higher scores with the SSG than with a stock Rem700SA. I closed the gap with a Speedlock in the 700 but could not cmpletely close it. In 500m bigbore silhouette I would shoot app 28-30/40 with the 700 and 30-33/40 with the SSG69.

2023年12月11日 · After replacing the springs in the trigger group with the greatly overpriced "red" springs the trigger pull dropped to 7 1/2 lbs. I consider this acceptable, it being a military rifle with a plastic trigger pack. The only issue is that it isn't a consistent 7 1/2 lbs. After a few tries it goes to 10lbs then returns to 7 1/2.

Steyr Scout 308 any good - Sniper's Hide
2014年5月1日 · I like my 308 ARs. Not the same thing. If you want a light, easy to carry rifle that packs a punch out to 200 yards, get a 30/30. If you want a steyer scout, buy one. Great rifle. Can't say a bad thing about them. I no longer own one--mostly because optics technology has advanced over the last 35-40 years.

2018年10月3日 · Just mounted my glass on the Steyr Elite .308 Went with the Leupold MK 4 LR/T 6.5x20x50 mounted in a Larue LT120 with TMR reticle and M1 turrets. I’m more than aware that the 1/4 MOA adjustments don’t bode well with a Milradian reticle, but I’m somewhat old school and have always been partial to the MK4 lineup.
