2017年5月26日 · Maybe it's my age, but the plain ol' Stormtrooper helmet still looks the most badass, IMO. The proportions are just right. and I think I prefer the individual eyes (as opposed to a connected "visor"). I also don't care for the "mohawk" on the Clone Trooper helmets. Gotta say though, they did a nice job with the "modern" Stormtrooper helmets.
I like the older stormtrooper helmet better. Just saying.
2021年12月26日 · The main problem with this new helmet is the fact that it droops over the torso. It makes it look weird, and you can’t rotate the head. I don’t know who signed off on it, but it was a very bad decision.

If you compare either of the ST helmets to an OT helmet (don’t go by memory- actually look at them side by side) it’s clear how much the new design is a major evolution that properly reflects the time gap between the trilogies, much the same way the Clone Troopers in ROTS feel like a natural stepping stone to the OT.

A helmet might seem like the logical first step, but you don't just buy an arm here, a chestplate there, a leg when you can afford one. So go ahead and get your display piece. But plan for a separate, film-accurate, 501st approvable kit, including its own helmet, later down the road.

The Imperial Stormtrooper , it looks more menacing. The First Order design looks too polished and corporate in a way. Both are good, but the original Imperial design is so much better. Speaking of which, would have been cool to see regular stormtroopers in the ST clash with the First Order in Imperial Remnant controlled territory.

Phase 2 or First Order. Phase 2 still has a somewhat heroic connotation to it (helped by the all the variants of Phase 2 armor), while First Order makes the troopers both badass and evil looking (something the original Storm Trooper armor had trouble doing at times, in my opinion).

The first order trooper has a lot more flat panels and is far sleeker. But the OG stormtrooper feels more detailed. There are more textures and parts that have purpose. Like the back of the OG imperial stormtrooper has a mount for a back pack. Whereas the FO trooper just has a flat solid single plate. When it comes to the helmets, I do like both.
