Legend of Dragoon was released in 1999 for the PS1. It ran on console from 12 FPS to 30 FPS at a resolution of 240p. The game was fully decompiled by u/LordMonoxide just 1 year ago. Since then, he and other contributors have fixed many retail bugs, have a fully playable software build, and are in the midst of converting everything to openGL.

The combat is simultaneously gimmicky for the time but also very plain beneath the shallow initial presentation of it. What it adds on top of the traditional turn based combat of the time, the game honestly would have been better off without. Writing is very bog standard for the time.

Be 11 years old with a shitty old crt tv that your mom let's you play for an hour a day after Dragonball z is over on toonami. I just wish we have in game boosters or something I just wana enjoy the story without much difficulty.
Legend of Dragoon: Great potential, VERY tedious to play
Legend of Dragoon is a really interesting game in that it's really a path not taken for RPGs. It's a RPG with action components made before the ARPG explosion, but it's very different from the sort of action RPGs both Western and Japanese studios moved towards.

2024年3月17日 · I'm setting out my steps here (with screenshots) to see if anyone can tell what I'm doing wrong. I created a folder under Rom > Ps titled "Legend of Dragoon". I copied the .chd files for all 4 discs into the folder. In the PS subfolder, I created a .m3u file and titled it "Legend of Dragoon M3U" (see first screenshot).

2023年4月8日 · It's refreshing to play the game after so many years. I understand the elements, additions, and dragoon mechanics even more than back then. Well, I was still a kid when I played it for the first time. I'm still in love with the story, and I would totally die for a FF7 remake treatment or a Dragoon Campaign prequel.
