Mar 7, 2023 · The TV model that powers Tivo is going away. It may take years but I believe it is inevitable. This appears to be a way for Tivo to remain relevant. BTW, I have TV in three rooms, my internet is slightly faster (500mbps to 600mbps) and my monthly TV/internet dropped from $220 with Spectrum to $143.

Sep 6, 2024 · The TV tech had to replace a control board in the TV, potentially due to a power surge. After reconnecting everything, there is no signal from my Tivo to the TV. The tech assume the Tivo was also potentially affected by a power surge. The Tivo still operates and records, and I can watch programs from other TVs with Tivo minis. Just not the main TV.

Aug 19, 2024 · Losing support for cablecards only makes this worse. I was HOPING Tivo would have made their models with a built in tuning adapter and cablecards going back 10 years, but that didn't happen. I really like the Tivo platform, and I have 4 Tivos, but I won't be buying any new ones. Tivo abandoned their customers.
Using the "tv input" button on my Tivo remote
Mar 17, 2013 · I tried to program the "TV input" function on the Tivo remote. If I repeatedly hit the "TV input" key on the remote, it will allow me to scroll DOWN the TV input sources. However, it does will not allow me to go UP. Also, the Tivo remote does not allow me to hit the source number. On my TV, HDMI is numbered 1, composite input is number 4, etc.
