2011年9月12日 · I went out to check/adjust the tire pressure on my 1997 Saturn wagon today. The car has 4 new Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 tires. I checked the sidewall and found that the max pressure for these tires is 51 PSI. The manufacture recommended pressure on the door tag is 32 PSI for the front and 28 PSI for the rear. 2020年3月23日 · The tire with the side wall gouge may be OK. I would forcefully tug on all the loose rubber to make sure that it isn’t cut down to the cords. If you can’t see the cords no matter how hard you tug, then the tire is good, but at 4/32", it is not long for the world and I would not pass up a good tire salve if you see one.

2023年12月7日 · What was damaged was not the bead which is inside the tire that, “bead” you named is the rim protector. Looks like the damage was still enough to still nick the rim. OP should monitor the tire for the rest of the life of the set—not required to replace. Tire material that was nicked/cut has not damaged the structure of the sidewall.

Fill the tires up to 32 or whatever the sticker says. Then press the TPMS button on the left side of the steering wheel to recalibrate it. Don't ever inflate tires to the maz pressure eating that's listed on the tire. Always inflate to the pressure on the door jamb or in the manual.
