2013年5月12日 · To save power I want to turn of the display on the Surface and still show the content on the TV threw HDMI. It would be perfect if the display turns of when I close the touch cover (just the display). Is this possible? Or is it possible to turn off the display in a different way and still look at the TV.

I haven't got a Surface Pro yet (soon though!), but on pretty much all Windows laptop, if you go into power options, you can set what happens to the device when the power button is pressed or closing the lid, and there is an option to 'Turn off the display'.

If I disable CS I get the desired behavior but only for the power button, I can't set "Turn the screen off" for closing the lid.
