Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (CR 581) turns west at Skipper Road. Skipper Road joins CR 581 with 46th Street. 09/04/17. Bruce B. Downs Boulevard curves southward through the busy intersection with Bearss Avenue west. Bearss Avenue forms part of a commuter route for New Tampa as it leads west and north to Interstate 275. 05/22/20.

November 29, 2017, 02:55:36 PM. Depends on the look you're going for. Yellow has increased visibility in and of itself. Black will provide greater contrast with the light and with the backboard. Colours such as green, blue, black (with a black backboard) are sometimes done as part of the overall street aesthetics.

The whole area is quite isolated when there is little commuter traffic on its way to or from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge with lots of potential for deer crossings and an informal "speedway." It is an interesting eye-catcher.

The oldest is this intersection a few miles away, with all 8-inch signals, which are all very faded, and text-only ped signals (probably the last in the city).

However many of them have been replaced with black painted mast arm assemblies and larger more standard signals. Retro signals are used in the Battery itself.
